Miss Temple has been found guilty—but also insane—at her trial for murdering a child under her care. She is locked away in the Broadmoor lunatic asylum and, worse still, she believes fully in her own guilt. But were the hauntings at the Elizabethan manor house of Bly a vision of the walking dead, perhaps, rather than delusions of her tormented mind? Or could it be that a criminal conspiracy is to blame for the psychic phenomena? In the company of Dr. Watson, the indefatigable Holmes will track down the perpetrators through the occult underworld of Victorian London.

We’d just returned from a quiet, civilised evening in the pub when our latest client arrived at Baker Street. She was a nurse. And, apparently, she’d been out for dinner. With a ghost. The client she’s asked me not to reveal her name told us that she’d been on a date and that everything had gone well. He’d been the perfect gentleman, apparently. They’d swapped numbers but, when he hadn’t got in touch, she’d gone to his flat to see if he was okay.
And it turns out, he wasn’t. Because according to his landlord, the guy who’d been in the flat had died over a week before. She’d then found a website where other women were talking about similar experiences. Sherlock went onto the website and found a number of other women he believed had met the same man. He couldn’t work out a connection between them, though. They had different backgrounds and interests. The man had given a different name on each occasion.

Posted on Sunday, August 2nd, by Fred Topel. Steven Moffat returned to the Television Critics Association summer press tour, this time for the upcoming Sherlock special, which takes their modern day Sherlock Holmes back to the original Victorian era. Victorian era gives us a chance to do a creepy one, a scary one.
He operates like a Victorian gentleman. The modern day Sherlock was a landmark for the mystery franchise and a critical and popular smash. Now Moffat joked that a Sherlock Holmes period piece is refreshingly new.
